Farewell Lauren

A good friend of mine from high school is moving out to LA this week to finally pursue her career in showbiz!  Lauren and I have been friends since high school, when we used to play volleyball together, and although we had a tough time keeping in touch throughout college, we always manage to reconnect and hang out every once in a while back home on Long Island.  

I'm really happy that she's taking such a bold step to pursue her dreams in tv/film broadcasting . LA will be a completely different lifestyle for her, waay different than New York, but I've always told her, "It's now or never", so I'm really excited for her and truly believe that she'll make it far in the industry.  

Having my friend move to LA makes me think of all those people who move to New York to 'make it' in the big city--whatever that means.  I give a lot of credit to those people who are secure enough and aren't afraid to leave everything behind to chase after their dreams.   That takes a lot of guts! 

Lauren, I'm so proud of you and even though you'll be 3000 miles away with a zip code that starts with 9-0, you know the 1-1 is where it's at! Haha! =)
