Obsessed

Being obsessed can be a very dangerous habit.  I have to confess, these days I've been obsessed with working out and losing weight.  Not because I think I'm fat, but because I want to be more toned. A girl can do that, right?  And don't get me wrong, it's not like I've dropped a huge amount of weight.  If anything, I've gained weight.  But I've noticed that working out is all I think about. It's like my whole day's schedule revolves around going to the gym.  It's crazy but so addicting.

For those of you who know what I'm talking about, you know you've had a good workout when your clothes are drenched in sweat and your muscles are all tight and sore the next day.  And when you start seeing results, you can't stop.  Ya feel me on this? I have to keep reminding myself to not let this become an idol in my life...but it might already be too late...

i feel you on it. once you get motivation (whatever that may be for anyone) you keep going at it. I love that feeling of getting my ass kicked after a workout too :)

werd. going to the gym is like a drug. i have withdrawal symptoms if i stay away for more than 3 days. randomness: your post reminded me of a sermon pseth gave about how people go to the gym very consistently because they see results but they don't do it with their spiritual disciplines. anyway, hope all's good.

I fail at working out now that I'm working, but I do take the occasional lap around the office - like yesterday outside when it was gorgeous! So I was watching the Biggest Loser last night with Nancy (yes, this is what we do - watch TV shows about...transformation, hahaha) and so this post made me think about all of that and how they measure weight loss in percentages - and also, you may be gaining muscle, which makes it look like you're not losing weight. Oh my gosh, the comments aren't locked up at work for once!
